CHRISTMAS 2007 CONCERT

Full sized view
Our Christmas concert was given free for the people of Horley to celebrate Christmas and was performed to a packed Methodist Church on Wednesday 19th December. As well as being entertained by the choir, the audience joined in singing some of the more well known Christmas carols: Once in Royal David's City, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, O Little Town of Bethlehem and Sans Day Carol. Sue Cowell read a Christmas poem and Ron Bull performed a comedy sketch (which had no relevance to Christmas whatsoever!!) entitled 'The Velvet Glove'. The choir sang: The Carol of the Bells, I wish it could be Christmas every day, Sleigh Ride, White Christmas, The Angel Sang the Story, A Starry Night, Zither Carol, The Little Road to Bethlehem, Kwmbaya, The Little Drummer Boy and many many more.... For each of their concerts, the choir choose a charity which has a particular relevance to a choir member, This year the collection at the end of the concert was donated to St. Mark's Hospital Foundation, Middx., which was chosen by Stephen Worsley, the choir's musical director.
